Traben-Trarbach was around 1900 the 2nd largest wine trading city in Europe. The annual shipping by rail and ships was estimated at 65,000 Fuder (Mosel wine barrel of about 1000 Ltr.).
Today Traben-Trarbach is still the most cellared city in Germany. Over 20 wines from Traben-Trarbach are stored in the camping wine cellar. In the small cellar museum you can learn more about viticulture and taste the different wines during a tasting.
